August 7, 2024 at 2:09pm my Papa Covey went to be with our lord and savior. Words can’t even begin to describe the impact that he had on my life. I had the honor to live with him starting in January and I am beyond blessed I was able to have that time with him. Between him and I there was never a dull moment around this house, music playing 24/7, and countless amount of inappropriate jokes that we were never to repeat around Nana. Through all 4 nights in the ICU he was a fighter. He passed with all of his family and friends right beside him. Thank you to the whole Methodist team, all of my friends and family for many texts, phone calls, gifts, and prayers. I am forever grateful for my family and what we surrounded Papa with Yesterday. I know David is up there singing, dancing, and laughing. Oh and playing poker because it is a Wednesday night! As a sweet friend told me, Papa gets the big promotion today, and I can imagine Jesus saying to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master”. Matthew 25:23 Your #1 will always love you more. You lived an amazing life Papa, and had a blessed death. Now go be with our lord.❤️
