Me every time I approach the top of the chairlift! 😆
Anyone else have these same thoughts?
As a snowboarder, getting off the chairlift is probably my least favorite part of the sport. Being mixed in with skiers and other boarders who ride opposite stance as me (I ride goofy) gives me extra anxiety of taking everyone else out on the lift when I get off. I always try to sit on the end (preferably the right side) to give myself the space I need to get off without falling or taking others out with me.
Having the lift to yourself is like having the row to yourself on a flight! It’s the best! Though I still get nervous unloading the lift.
Tell me any funny or crazy stories about your chairlift experience in the comments. I’ll go first...
I was at Mt. Hood going up a 2 person chair that I was not alone on. We approached the top and the ramp of the lift was steep and longer than normal. I was so nervous! I used the arm rest to help push myself up and off the lift. But my arm must have slipped and somehow got wrapped around the armrest. And I was dangling from the lift as it started to go around and back down the mountain. I was able to untangle my arm and drop off of it without them stopping it. But to this day I am still traumatized by the chairlift experience and still get anxiety when approaching the top.
