💌The 1968 Collection: Dropping Tue 8/6. 6pm pst💌 Last year during my time in India, I wanted to dedicate a collection to some of the country’s most talented craftspeople - the female artisans of Rajasthan behind some of the most striking and intricate needlework I’ve seen. With just their nimble fingers, a simple needle and thread, they masterfully weave patterns and motifs to create mosaic-like quilts. We traveled to meet them and sat with them as they stitched, taking back our favorites and turning them into a select number of miniskirts - each one holding a puzzle piece of a whole story. Indias handicrafts are slowly dying, due to the rise of mass production, and machines which can cheaply rip off their work. Our need for instant gratification has led to the decline of so many historic art forms. This is my small part in bringing that back. This collection along with handloom tops, will be available for sale next Tuesday 8/6 at 6pm PST. If you’re interested, set your reminders to grab a skirt that is truly memorable, to wear for the days you don’t want to forget
