Thanks for this amazing invitation @jeanpierreblanc1 @magalieguerin @julieliger and the team 🌹 A holiday home, a modern palace and an avant-garde monument, the Villa Noailles escapes time. Far from being a concrete and glass monolith frozen by the historiography of the modern movement, the house of the Noailles couple still vibrates with renewed vitality. Inspired by the personality of Marie-Laure de Noailles, we have designed a scenography for the historical tour of the villa that unfolds like a temporal fantasy, a vision of an alternative present where the building would still be a place inhabited by its patrons. The permanent exhibition is the eye of a temporal cyclone where all the different states of this domestic labyrinth are intermingled. The furniture has not necessarily returned to its original location, continuing to be moved according to use and desire. The plaster bases, reminiscent of the villa's exterior walls, and the stucco bases, created by Southway Studio, highlight the villa's historic furniture. Placed on a pedestal, the stools by Blanche Klotz, Pierre Chareau or Djo-Bourgeois, or even the discreet Roneo rolling table, become the main characters of this uchronistic phantasmagoria, a parallel reality where the Noailles couple would continue to make the fire of artistic creation crackle, which they conceived as a collective adventure. @emmanuelleluciani_southway with @bellahuntddc in @villanoailles
