Blackberry Basil Sparkling Matcha 🍵 My husband and I used to make blackberry basil lemonades/limeades during the summer back in high school/college (that makes us sound old lolol) and recently I was thinking about it again and thought blackberry basil syrup would be perfect with matcha! It’s a great syrup for mocktails, lemonade, etc. 🍋 The matcha I used today was from Kiyo Matcha (which was kindly gifted to me) and I used their “premium grade” matcha. This one is a great everyday matcha whether it’s like how I shown in this video, a matcha americano or in a latte. If you pause or screenshot the video where I show the little diagram, you can see how Kiyo rates the tasting notes as well which I found to be quite accurate to my experience trying it! Syrup recipe: -1 cup sugar -1 cup water -mix over medium high heat until dissolved - add 1 cup blackberries (frozen or fresh) and - 1 cup fresh basil - mix and let it boil - once it’s boiling turn it down to a simmer and let it go for 15-20 min. - Remove from heat and let it cool #homecafe #cafe #matcha #matchalatte #sparklingmatcha #blackberry #basil
