The annual @martinsvilleswy #ValleyStarCreditUnion 300 started with us having an overall fast car throughout practice. But we weren’t quite ready for how the track changed going into qualifying resulting in us qualifying P19 out of 93 cars! After finishing P6 in my heat race, that lined me up 23rd for the 200 lap race. We worked our way up the field pretty quickly and smoothly and I was able to move into the top 10 by lap 100. The last 50 laps I was in the top 3 racing with the leaders coming to the 25 to go break. Then we had a green white checkered restart that had me starting P2 beside @peytonsellers, I had a fast car but Peyton was just a tick better than us on the short runs and he was able to hold us off for the win. Finishing our night with a respectable P2 finish in my first showing at Martinsville. Thanks to @jrmotorsports @iracingofficial @teamchevy and all the crew guys for the support.
