The biggest message from SS23 shows at least from my watch-from-home stance is that body lines, forms and ultra defined silhouettes made for the strongest outings. - Give it up for @jonathan.Anderson in a reduce-and-maximise @loewe #LoeweSS23 show that once again had models emerge from the floor, backdropped by a giant phallic anthurium sculpture - that most unreal of floral forms. - The extremity of this fleur made for editorial-ready pieces but it was the precision and shrunken proportions of the sunray pleated minis, the tightened shoulders of knit polo dresses and the pairing of ultra cropped Barbour-esque country jackets and moulded enamel flower dresses that left the real impression. I love how Anderson has been walking this tightrope between concept and wearability the last few seasons, and how challenging forms somehow seem approachable and wearable in the end.
