After being away from home for so long, I now appreciate the things I once didn’t perceive. I thought everyone around me judged me, when all along, it was me who was judging myself. I never stopped to admire the harmonious sounds of birds chirping, or the lush greenery I would pass by. Coming home makes me realize how beautiful and unique I am, and how the little things I never payed attention to, make me who i am. Rewriting the negative memories I have with certain places and painting them in a positive light is something I think everyone should do, especially if it’s somewhere you grew up. Feeling connected to where you came from is more important than I ever thought 💫 Focusing on these aspects of my life, instead of ignoring them or pretending I’m from somewhere else, gives me the strength and courage to be me and appreciate myself at full capacity 🐞❤️‍🔥 (still can’t drive tho... we’re working on that)
