Here’s a makeup I built and applied for one of @hauntedlamb ‘s past photo shoots. Everything was done in about a week in the evenings while working in Fx shops during the day and applied that weekend. Got to experiment with some different materials on this one that I’ll go into further in the next post. Essentially every object has a piece of brass square stock running through it that telescopes to a correlating piece of brass fixed to a plate that is under a thin silicone appliance. For the scissors and butcher knife, the plates were sewed and glued to a piece of wardrobe underneath the dress so no glue necessary. The objects were urethane props that were purchased but most had to be molded and recast in polyfoam for weight. All of this was to make the look as comfortable and safe as possible. Every object was stable, light and could easily come off/ go back on.
