Peaceful as can be and as far as the eye can see are the vast views of ice and snow on the tops of the mountains. I tell you what, it is the cleanest air you can ever breath I reckon. You can feel the chilling breeze on top of the world right down to your bones. Lake Wanaka has some of the best views on the planet and best of all no traffic or very many people at the very least. Mt Aspiring national park is one of the most spectacular environments you can put yourself in.
