Celebrate Us! It’s been a tough week, actually a tough life, highlighted in the past week for a lot of people in the Asian community. It would be an understatement to say that we are heartbroken not only by blatant racism but that fact that some people are not recognizing or even acknowledging how awful this situation is. But I’m not here to shame or “call out” others to do what I think they should or say, cause if you’re a decent human being, you know it’s wrong. You know that Racism exists and the hate must stop! Rather I’m here to show up! To represent my culture, my race, my identify, and how beautiful and amazing it is. Just as important as stopping the hate and all these racist actions, taking actions that are lacking in the system were in, is more crucial than ever. Start recognizing Asian talents, represent Asian diversity, celebrate Asian culture, support Asian businesses, include Asian beauty, and highlight Asian accomplishments. To my fellow Asians out there, show up and take up your space in the society. Now more than ever we need to uplift each other to gain that unity that will strengthen our Power! We are here!
