As Savannah natives, here are some of our favorite local go-tos that our whole family enjoys! Save for when you need to refer back to it or send to a parent who might need ideas! 💘💘
Some important details:
Telfair Art Museum: inside the Jepson. Does cost money. You can get a year membership!
Lake Mayer: has it all. Tennis, pickleball, a skate park, playground, walking trail, ducks, picnic tables, bathrooms, YOU NAME IT!
UGA Marine Aquarium: my kids love this place! It’s not big but is catered towards kids and really cool. They can touch some sea creatures and they have lots of cool handouts you can take home. The grassy area out back is beautiful for a picnic.
Hull Park: awesome playground/park in Ardsley Park area. There is a bigger kid side and a smaller kid side. Has a baseball or kickball field and a splash pad.
New Riverside Barn Park: aka owl park. LOOK IT UP! It’s really not far from Savannah and has such an amazing playground. Drive into Palmetto Bluff after to have lunch at Buffalos or just explore.
Henny Penny: same owners as Foxy Loxy and Coffee Fox aka has the BEST food and drinks! Your kids can color, read or play for free. Or you can pay a little extra for a more legit craft.
JAM: hidden gem. They have free time hours where you can pay and let your kids go crazy. There’s a trampoline and other awesome gymnastics-type things. There’s a separate toddler area as well.
Children’s Museum of Pooler: this place entertains my kids so much. There is a lot of them to do. It’s in the Tanger Outlets so you could also get some shopping done while you’re out there!
What am I missing?! We have so many fun things for kids to do in Savannah!
