COSBOI is playing at @sffilm this weekend 💕 it was such a special experience to bring this visual language to life - queer, playful, weird, radical in its subtleness and quietness, and intimacy, so very tender and precious. It’s my second film with the director and friend Gosha Shapiro @dufis_ 💕 and this is so so special to me 💕 we spent two days driving around the valley (INT. CAR - DAY) sans air conditioning (for sound purposes), my car was cast as one of the picture vehicles (sadly she still didn’t make it into SAG).. but she did get beautiful car ‘costume’ and still wears parts of it, namely a red flame sticker that can be spotted on the back window. Thanks to this film I unlocked the lighting power combo ‘gray 1/4 grid and sun roofs’, found secret spots where you have long stretches of road without stop signs or bumps, and started a somewhat short lived obsession with signature primes.
