👁️👁️ a little appetizer idea for your Halloween party: pistachio pesto, marinated mozzarella, pistachio mortadella and pimiento olive crostinis Recipe: Marinated mozzarella: 1 8oz container of ciliegine mozzarella balls 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 teaspoon aleppo pepper 1/2 teaspoon garlic sea salt, or any sea salt 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary 1/4 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon dried sage 1/4 teaspoon dried fennel seeds, crushed 1/4 cup olive oil Mix everything together and let marinate for at least a couple hours before serving! Pesto: 1/4 cup pistachios 2 cloves garlic 1 cup basil Sea salt Black pepper 1 cup parm Olive oil Pulse pistachios and garlic in a food processor until ground. Add basil, sea salt and black pepper to taste and slowly stream in olive oil while processing. Finish with parm until blended! To assemble, spread the pesto on a cracker, top with each with two marinated mozzarella balls, and wrap thinly sliced pistachio mortadella around the eyeball. Top each eyeball with a slice of pimiento stuffed olive!
