Spring time fam. I'm excited for all the blooms. All the budding potential and possibly. All the anticipation. In our back yard today I'm greeted by apple blossoms, budding grapes, strawberries awaiting pollination, and an eager raspberry patch. And all the building projects that need completion. This week has been full of emotion for me. Stinging but oh so good. (Like the abundance of nettles showing up) Fresher Together has been growing and this year so many buds and blossoms coming. We have a whole ass team y'all. Just over a week or so ago we all gathered for a 4 day retreat, and this week folks started the first week of many onboarding. They wrapped up Friday by distributing @chicagobreadclub community grain shares to the @thelovefridgechicago. Come through local pancakes and muffin mixes from @funksgrovehfg . Today at the farm we prepped beds and had to do a lot of weeding . It seems like a common theme in my life. Pulling and clearing out the weeds. Trying to start things over again each season with a good foundation. Learning. Improving. I looked over and saw @shiripaulina and @jj_rae_yusuke with their @freshertogether swag out. Yes water bottles and knives. Walking back from giving the goats some thistle, Danie passed some beautiful flowers @urbangrowerscollective had planted. Steady balance of stinging and beautiful. Hard and smiles. Pulling weeds and new beginnings. So nervous, but so eager. Y'all. I'm doing this. I'm in it. Still figuring it all out, but still out here blooming. Letting go of perfection rolling with iterations and in this iteration I got support blooming. Y'all been spring cleaning? Clearing out weeds? Having time to appreciate the buds and blooms?
