Introducing X by Hvidt + Mølgaard Reissued by &Tradition, the X Chair was conceived in 1959 by Danish design duo Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, following the success of its predecessor, the AX Chair. Characterised by its pared back, sloping silhouette and use of natural materials, the elegant lounge chair was the culmination of years of experimentation with laminated wooden frames inspired by the form of old wooden tennis rackets.
