Today marks the start of “Saving Senior Dogs Week,” which raises awareness for senior dog adoption. One of the week’s “ambassadogs,” Rex, was abandoned by his former family because he was “too old,” but at age 14 found a loving home with Maria Buck. Rex may not have many teeth or much of his hearing anymore, but he loves slow “sniffing” walks and meeting new people. “[Adopting a senior dog is] one of the best decisions I’ve made in a very, very long time... every ounce of love you give them, you get back tenfold,” Buck said. “Knowing you’re making an impact in a senior’s last years is just an incredible privilege.” ❤️ 🐶 #savingseniordogsweek #seniordogs
