Ok so WHO CAN RELATE? You think... where did all the blonde go?! So here is the WHY behind the story I told in my reel above. There are a few reasons that come into play: 1) I recommend always SLICING when you babylight. The reason is because a babylight is a micro hilite and slicing equals coverage. Weaving equals softness in transition. So by weaving, the babylight it will get lost in the hair. 2) You chose to tone with 07N... if your client is a level 7, you can’t tone a 7 with a 7. Shades is translucent so I recommend if your intention is to eliminate foil lines to tone 1 level darker than the natural as it will deposit at the natural level due to the translucency of the product. 3) You used a V series with clear only on zones 2/3. While this absolutely can work well for many toning situations, when a client asks to be BRIGHT. We think of only 1 series.... The GI series. The job of this series is to add brightness to the formula. The V series is true to tone so if overtoned, can appear flat... we have to brighten it up sometimes. So what would have been my plan? All slices for my application. Tone zone 1 at a level 6 so it deposits like the natural base of the client (level 7), and 09V + 09GI + clear on the zones 2/3. Like the way I teach?
