Long run Sunday ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ Here are some tips for running in hot/humid weather:
1. Wake up early to beat the heat โฐ
2. Hydrate before, during, and after (using @genucan choc energy + protein right after I finish my progression long run). Shane will bike & hand me fluids every ~4 miles or I will do loops myself! Doing this helps with recovery ๐
3. Choose run locations that offer a good amount of shade! Lincoln Woods is one of my fave Rhode Island spots when itโs sunny โ๏ธ I started my run here and finished at a bike path that also offered some good protection
4. Adjust paces accordingly! Go based off effort when the conditions are really brutal
5. Remind yourself how amazing youโre going to feel once fall rolls around ๐I latch onto this positive thought during the worst of the summer months. It motivates me to grind through these miles lol
