This week has been a little rocky. Not sure what it is exactly or if I can specifically point to a moment or anything in particular. Chani said something about retrograde and eclipse and Scorpio, so let's go with that. the Feels. Regardless, today ended well. Sweet. We stopped by the farm to check on some celery and seedlings. Yesterday was a pretty hot farm workday so it was nice that it cooled down a little.
@erika_r_allen was there and in brief conversation mentioned visiting the Bleeding Hearts. This flower felt familiar though I've never met her. Something about the stunning beauty, the love and the way she drooped a bit. A little joy giving weeping willow drapage. She was cute. Encouraged to take a stem, Danie @ghettonerdboi, took one flower instead. Held it in their hand, examining. I got Georgia O'Keeffe vaginal painting vibes, but yeah. It is a pretty dope plant. We both said we needed to incorporate more flowers in future permanent spaces. On our future land.
And we drove away talking about future acreage full of grain grazing and being dope Black Farmers busting into the Grain and Fiber space. Danie read to us from the @fibershed_ book they are currently consuming. we Pondered about Alpacas and other animals.
That could have held me well enough for the day but Oscar @bee_utifulhoney came through with some culmination of joy. Buzzing magic that gets to reside in our back yard!!! Bees! Hives. We greeted them as they came out. Told them strawberries and apples still had blossoms and that we promised to make their new home welcoming. Lots of backyard work to be done, but we're so grateful we get to share space with these pollinators. Maybe we can plant more flowers for them in the future in this yard. Maybe a bleeding heart for next season even.
Welcome home bees.
