Now welcoming you to The Kitchen’s new home-away-from-home 🎉 We’re over the moon to officially announce our temporary move to the historic Westbeth Artists Housing in the West Village!⁠ ⁠ A peer epicenter of the New York and international avant-garde, and the world’s largest artist community, Westbeth will become home base for The Kitchen as we begin renovation of our Chelsea home on 19th Street later this fall. During this period we’re thrilled be sited at Westbeth’s expansive West Side Loft, a space whose vast potential recalls our own original locations at the Mercer Arts Center and later, the loft it occupied on the corner Wooster and Broome Streets.⁠ ⁠ As our historic centers intersect, we’ll begin programming in the storied loft space and elsewhere, reflecting on our commitment to the next generation of interdisciplinary experimental artists.
