Two. I wasn’t planning to go this long. I had made up a plan that our time was coming to an end. I took steps to knock Feeds from our day and replaced our sweet moments with snacks that he loves. Yet, here we still are. Going through the emotions of ending this journey. It’s fair to say that you and I both know what is left of this journey. And your sweet giggles at every request to latch tell me that you hope I would just feed one more time. I guess I’m a sucker, but truthfully I’ve just living in a prayer answered. My sweet boy, when this is only but a memory I hope you know that your comfort rescued me of the chaos of postpartum. That nurturing you with my body was symbolic to the healing my body has experienced. And Though the world may wonder why it’s taken so long for this to end or consider it to be a sexual act to some perverted minds, I’m fully free of what anyone says about our journey. It is ours, yours and mines. What a gift to give life and sustain your life with my body.
