Last Friday, our team visited the historic Vermont Danby Quarry — the largest underground marble quarry in the world. For over a century, the same mountainside entrance has led to 1.5 miles of twisting tunnels where Vermont Danby marble is quarried and, hundreds of feet below the surface, transformed into slabs, pavers, and custom pieces in a fully equipped underground factory.
