Everyone knows how New York is a part of me. Living here for more than a decade, I guess I can call myself a New Yorker. Saying goodbye to New York City, my home for so many years, feels like closing a cherished chapter. The bustling streets, the skyline, the memories—this city has shaped me in so many ways. As I pack up, there’s a bittersweet ache, knowing I’m leaving behind a piece of my heart. Our apartment was more than just a place; it was where we spent precious months together with our baby girl, creating countless memories. But as one door closes, another opens. Moving to Europe just about three months after giving birth was a challenge. Waiting nearly two weeks in a hotel for the visa to come through and traveling with 18 bags wasn’t part of the plan, but we made it through! I’m filled with excitement to explore our new city with my daughter, discovering new places, and creating new memories together. New York City will always be a part of me, and I’ll frequently return to my second home. Here’s to the next chapter—full of promise, new beginnings, and endless possibilities.
