An emotional scene unfolded in Dublin Airport when an 89-year-old man reunited with his brother after decades away from Ireland.⁠ ⁠ Dublin Airport said Willie set off on a six-week boat journey to Australia in 1959 and built a life there with his family.⁠ ⁠ Along with his daughter Sue, Willie arrived arrived back to Ireland for the first time in 63 years to be reunited with his brother Tony, whom he hasn’t seen is over 40 years, and Tony’s son, John, who he has never met.⁠ ⁠ Video released by Dublin Airport shows Willie getting out of his wheelchair to embrace his brother at the arrivals gate.⁠ Dublin Airport said Willie would be celebrating his 90th birthday in Ireland. The airport said it was “an absolute pleasure to be part of this special moment”.
