My first time working behind the scenes of a Pride as a volunteer organizer AND participating business owner was a wild ride and I'm very happy to be done. There were some really great aspects of the event, there were some disappointments that will need addressed going forward. One of the areas I think it was overwhelmingly successful was being able to showcase some of the most talented and amazing entertainers and artists blossoming in our local scene. I truly hope the experience and connections give all of them the opportunity to take the event in the future and grow it while making it their own. We were also able to show a community that has been resistant to change that we aren't going anywhere. ✌️
