Mount Westmore consists of four names that need no introduction: Snoop, Ice Cube, E40, $hort. These rap icons justly claim themselves as architects of West Coast hip-hop. As Mount Westmore, they’re a supergroup whose presence is etched in the California landscape. The 16-track project is the manifestation of years of friendship between the four Hip-Hop legends, their love for their California roots, and their musical kinship. Too $hort told ROCK THE BELLS the album showcases their connectivity as friends and artists. “If you play the album in its entirety, it kind of goes along with all of our careers,” $hort explained. “Each one of us has a different style, different subjects we on and different type of production. But fans will tell you that all their lives listening to E-40, they learned a lot listening to Too $hort; Ice Cube, [they] learned a lot—[they] learned a lot bumping Snoop Dog and just following Snoop Dog. And I think that the album, even though the first few songs we played kind of just got vibes and shit, whatever talking shit when you listen to the album, it also is just like all our careers.
