Our friends at @uptherestore present their first ever @newbalancelifestyle collaboration dubbed the ‘Backyard Legends’. “We all love a bit of sport but let’s be honest, not everyone is out there breaking records. Great feats of athleticism are impressive, but what about a typical Aussie backyard bbq? A single afternoon might see you playing a few overs of cricket between flipping snags, swatting away mozzies and coping with relentless humidity — all the while grappling an ice-cold tinny in your spare hand! You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like. With all of that in mind, we set out to design a shoe ready for the sport of suburban life. It’s got lightweight fused panels, lush suede, custom shrouds and even some quirky 2000s shoelaces.
