As we get ready for Indigenous Peoples Day, this morning I visited Hollywood High School to talk to students in Mr. Jaurez’s AP US History Class, where I shared more about IPD and my perspective as LA's first Native American Councilmember. Together, we discussed our City’s work to uplift indigenous voices, correcting historic injustices and how our younger generations can get involved to advance this work.
