⭐️ THE QUEEN OF HAPPYLAND ⭐️ Wow — it always takes me a couple of days to reflect after Pride and I’m still unsure if I can truly express how I’m feeling right now. All I do know is that my heart is overflowing with love and gratitude that I was able to be a part of such a monumental event like @happyland.fest this past weekend. We’ve been working on this festival for a year and to see if all come to fruition was surreal. It was truly something out of a movie, a full cinematic experience. And believe me when we say we are JUST getting started. Endless thank yous to @timbreconcerts @kasskills @mygayhusband and David for having me on board and allowing me to sit in on meetings to create the happiest place Vancouver Pride has ever seen. WE DID IT! 🤩 Imagine you’re riding on the Atmosphere and Big Freedia is singing “Break My Soul” off in the distance — it truly felt like a dream and I was screaming “THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE” from open to close because it truly was one of the most marvellous moments I’ve ever witnessed. Thank you to all of my friends and some of the best performers this city has ever known for coming along for the ride and doing it so so well @itsjustrogue @thekarajuku @the.girlfriendexperience @cookie_gets_baked — this event wouldn’t have been what it was without y’all. And to the Queen of the Rodeo herself and my Auntie @thanksjem I’m so happy I got to share this experience with you and get to see you SHINE. You held it DOWN on stage and backstage and you always keep it 💯 I love you so much. Shoutout to everyone who bought a ticket and came out to support us in our first year. Y’all turned out the looks and brought the BEST vibe ever. To see so many friends and people I love there made it truly special. Lastly thank you to @raundism for executing this look to PERFECTION. As soon as I saw this cowgirl look from the new (and yet to be released) live action Barbie movie I knew I needed it, but in red of course. You’ve made this Pride unforgettable with my two new custom looks and I cannot thank you enough. There’s much more to come but for now we are revelling in all the beauty and magic that was.
