This may be controversial! 😉 Before you roast me in the comments, send this to someone planning an Italy trip and save it for your own future adventures! 🇮🇹 Here's my personal take on a few Italian hotspots (remember, this is just *my* experience!): 10. Venice: Okay, I know, I know... *Venice?!* It's gorgeous, no doubt. But honestly, the crowds were SO intense, it was hard to truly enjoy the magic. I felt like I was shuffling through a human river most of the time. Beautiful, but overwhelming. 9. Pisa: Leaning Tower, check! ✅ Fun photo op, absolutely. But beyond that? Meh. I felt like I'd seen it all in an hour and was ready to move on. Maybe I missed something, but it didn't grab me. I remember only using this city to use the airport when studying abroad. 8. Positano: Stunningly beautiful, yes. Those iconic colorful houses clinging to the cliffs are postcard-perfect. However, like Venice, it was *packed* and the prices reflected the popularity. Felt a bit too "touristy" for my taste and the hills were a bit rough. 7. Cinque Terre: Okay, NOW we're talking! These villages are charming and the hiking trails are incredible. Yes, it's busy, but the views and the atmosphere are worth it. Definitely a highlight of my time on my Italy trip and when I studied abroad! 6. Genoa: A bit of a hidden gem, in my opinion! It's not as polished as some of the other cities, but I loved its authentic feel. The port is fascinating, the food is amazing, and it's a bit less overrun with tourists. A pleasant surprise, but still a bit boring? Do you agree? Disagree?
