So my quick social media check-in before bed yielded news of an award! Best Cultural Influencer from @littalentawards! And while I’ve retired my role in SexTok with Zibby and Tracey (now it’s with @traceycoxsexauthor and @kelseydchittick), it continues to win awards — like Best Comedy Talk Show here! And we’re up for a few Lovie Awards, so please vote! When I first started my podcast, I’d research guests and think: how are they award-winning?! So I checked out the awards they’d won and started entering myself. And winning! Now I have an entire trophy bookshelf. It includes some really prestigious ones like the Webby Award. Others, smaller and unheard of. But who cares?! Winning something (anything!) FEELS good. So my unsolicited advice is to enter more contests and awards. Because hey, you never know.
