I wanted to post a little something about my dear friend Al Joyner for #blackhistorymonth. Today, Al was honored with the Spirit of the Angel Award at City Hall. I am so proud of him. Not only was Al the first Black American to win the Olympics Gold in Men’s Triple Jump, but on that same day, he and his younger sister, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, made history as the first brother and sister to win Olympic medals at the same Olympic Games. Al is an icon, a leader, and a true friend. Congrats on your very deserved award 💕
