The first and only Marriott Hotel in Geneva officially opened its doors on the 18th of July 2022. The property is located in the district of Meyrin, known as the gates of Geneva, close to Palexpo and the Airport. The hotel offers a large range of innovative amenities and services including 263 brand-new restorative rooms and suites designed with sophisticated and modern finishes, a dedicated floor for meetings and conferences, the restaurant “Moments” a social eatery concept around active ingredients that come whenever possible from sustainable and local agriculture and a lounge bar with an outstanding cocktail menu. The design of the Geneva Marriott Hotel is inspired by the story of pioneers of aviation Armand and Henri Dufaux and celebrates the bold and ambitious entrepreneurs as well as the freedom and excitement that come from travelling. Using patterns, artworks and styling elements derived from the industrial heritage of the destination, Geneva Marriott Hotel brings a combination that balances intuitive flexibility with sophisticated, modern finishes. The Geneva Marriott Hotel pays a particular attention to sustainability with a high standard and ethics approach. The entire building is equipped with a district heating system – a sustainable solution for the future that greatly reduces CO2 emissions. For air conditioning, water is collected in the ground under the hotel to cool the building and then returned to earth without being polluted. In addition, windows are equipped with Saint Gobain’s electrochromic glass – a tinted glass that adjusts automatically according to the outside temperature.
