Some of the most coveted cars from the 80's and early 90's are a direct result of DTM - the German Touring Car Championship. Even if you didn't care about racing, it's nearly impossible to ignore the emotive designs and engaging driving experiences of DTM's road-going homologation specials. Chief among those - the BMW M3 and Mercedes 190E 2.3-16v - were also two of the biggest rivals in DTM and unsurprisingly two of the most well-known drivers cars from that period. ⁠ ⁠ Though the Mercedes 190E 2.3-16v is less well known than its BMW counterpart, it is way f*%#ing cooler.
