I wrote On Your Way Home alone on New Year’s Eve 2021. I couldn’t make it home for the holidays, most everyone was still nervous from the state of the world and I was rounding the corner on finishing the album. I slept on the couch for a week in my buddies back house studio where I recorded the first ep - thanks @konradsollsnyder - wrote it on the High Hope piano and tracked it before the sun came up. It has been a good friend to me ever since and I’m happy to see it also has been for a lot of you too - my most streamed song this year. If you were at a State of the Heart show you’ll remember me saying even if you have no one to call - you can always call on the music. Just a reminder that’s always the case.
