Gratitude. I am blessed that the first and only job I had after college was being a part of the Credit Portfolio Management team at Fannie Mae. Our team managed the company’s $3+ trillion book of business representing over 70% of the US housing market. And I was the only person on the 8 person team without an MBA or a PH.D. in Economics or in their 20s lol. But from the first day I knew I was on the perfect team for me bc I felt right at home during team lunch. The last time I saw the CPM fam was on my last day in the office in 2015. And I am grateful that a few of us were finally able to catch up at @dcgathers. These guys helped shaped my life and made an unforgettable impact on me: Jesse taught he how to code in SQL and gave me my first cigar and high end scotch. Hallie taught me the corporate game for Blacks and pulled me aside anytime he saw that I was violating the unwritten rules of the game. The Hambino ! My first manager.
