This is how I move. Bra testing at @lululemon headquarters— I decided not to dissociate and be fully present in this series of moments where my body and it’s movement patterns were on display. I decided it was more important to do this for us, you know, plus-sized well-endowed folks who do athletic things. I decided to rejoice in the fact that my body works despite what folks may think when they look at me. I decided that the joy I experience while moving my body in this specific way, and how running feeds my soul is way more important than anything else. It also helps when there are kind human beings (designers and scientists!) authentically looking out for how they can improve plus-sized women’s experiences while moving.
