Late Summer Care ๐ŸŒ… In Traditional Chinese Medicine it is said we have 5 seasons... the last week of August up until the Fall Equinox is considered Late Summer the season representing the Earth element, and Stomach/Spleen health, which looks like slowing down the grind, grounding yourself with warmer nurturing, digestion-aiding foods. Most of us think of this as that back to school energy, weโ€™re ready to slow down all the social summer activity and come back to more quiet and more routine. Itโ€™s also said that this time sets us up for our immunity for the cooler months. An easy way to incorporate it is to eat seasonally - yellow/orange veggies start to come to the farmers markets now (think squash, gourds, carrots).
