DEAR @instagram and @mosseri I wrote this email and sent it directly to Adam Mosseri on Monday 9am New York time. As yet, I have not received a response. I had his email from the campaign with @curvynyome and @ginamartin and we spoke over zoom as well during that time. Part of me felt emailing was a breach of privacy but, then I thought, this algorithm situation is become so detrimental that it is worth it to do whatever is in my power to help save what was once so good. He may have read it and decided it wasn’t worth his time, perhaps he scrolled it but didn’t know an appropriate response or, perhaps, he didn’t even see it. So, I am posting it here, now an open letter, in hopes it will finally reach Adam and Instagram. Post it, spread it far and wide and let’s get Adam to see it! You don’t have to tag me, I just want the old Instagram back. I just want them to understand the damage they’re doing to so many creatives. I just want to do something, anything.
