“I wanted to share the incredible bond I had with our late Shihtzu Watson who passed in December 2020. I had him from a pup for just over 13 years. Last March I had covid - fortunately, I didn’t have to be hospitalised but it was very nasty and I was very poorly for several weeks. My darling Watson never left my side. He would sleep on the bed with me and on my lap. He was as I would fondly refer to him - my Doctor Watson. When I had an arthroscopy several years ago again he was by my side throughout my recovery. Without him, all of these things would have been harder. Watson was my best friend I miss him every day. Watson became ill just after I had a total knee replacement, and sadly he passed away from his cancer. Even though I was in physical pain I found the strength to get in the car and be with him in his final moments - which just shows the true bond of love we had for each other.” Thank you Amanda for sharing your touching story of your Doctor Watson.
