Hi everyone, this is @rake.collective sharing work and visual research artefacts from our ongoing project #PoliceState. . The face of a riot police officer - captured over 180o from footage of a Kill the Bill protest on 17/04/21 - is isolated and enhanced here as a manual replication of the computer vision processes used by facial recognition software. The second image is a sample test image from an academic paper concerning new methods of facial recognition, one of thousands of similar images representing the conversion of faces into data points. The third is an early attempt to replicate the visual language of facial recognition and computer vision processes.
