💕”The Kids” The #1 reason most survivors stay longer than they should is because of “the kids”. While the intention may be well, it simply will never work. Staying in an abusive relationship while raising kids (especially small ones), does WAY MORE harm than good. Not only are you exposing them to toxic and unhealthy behaviors. But you are also normalizing and desensitizing abuse. We may not see it now or soon, because most of us want to believe us staying “for the kids” won’t turn out this way…but eventually you’ll wake up one morning and realize it’s repeating into the next generation(both abuser and victim alike) If you’ve made it this far and are currently in an abusive relationship “for the kids”, I strongly advise you to safely leave.
