We all know January isn’t always the easiest month. So, seeing as today marks ‘Blue Monday’ we thought we’d share some gentle, positive ideas to try at home to counteract those January blues. And a reminder for anyone that needs to hear it, to go easy on yourself. 1. Pot up some bulbs and bring them inside where they’ll flower. We planted snowdrops in vintage terracotta pots. 2. With Seville oranges in season, now is the time to make marmalade - it’s a great way to spend a Saturday in the kitchen. Why not spread some joy and make enough to give to friends, family or neighbours. 3. Light a candle, switch off your screens and take a moment for yourself - read some pages of your book, a magazine, run a bath, do some journaling or just sit quietly and be with your thoughts. 4. Treat yourself to some nourishing skincare- @bamford bath oil, hand cream or body moisturiser are all top of our list for Jan. 5. Tempting as it is to eat your meals on the sofa in front of the TV, set the table, sit down and take the time to enjoy your meal properly.
