“Parasite” by Emily Einhorn. I’m not sure this was ever released in any official capacity. I knew Emily peripherally in high school, got to know her better later on. At some point in those days, college or maybe even high school, she wrote and recorded a stunning collection of six songs that my sister had on a burned CD. Those recordings were precious treasure to me. She was way out ahead of me as a songwriter and I learned a lot from her . This song was on that CD. I think you can find her doing it live in New York City somewhere on YouTube. It is beautiful and it haunts me to this day. “Parasite.” I find it amazing that something so great could be known to so few people. There a lot of buried treasures like that in the world. Even just in my own memory. Thank you Emily.
