Who doesn’t need a good book recommendation? Check out a couple of these September Staff Picks hand picked by your favorite booksellers! First we have bookseller Michael’s pick: YOGA by Emmanuel Carrére, translated by John Lambert and published by @fsgbooks. He says, “Intending to write an ‘upbeat, subtle little book on yoga’ after a ten-day meditation retreat but instead spiraling all the way to a psychiatric hospital, this memoir-novel is pure Carrére: self-indulgent, solipsistic and frustrating, but ultimately about a fascinating character on the page.” Michael also recommends DANGEROUS RHYTHMS by T.J. English, published by @williammorrowbooks. He says, “This is manna from jazz-head heaven: a collection of the impossibly rare avant-garde magazine founded during the peak of the Black Arts Movement.
