When I think back on all the times I held back from opportunities and experiences due to my insecurities it makes me incredibly sad. Oh how I wish I could tell little 13 year old me that there is nothing wrong with having thicker thighs. Or to 15 year old me that you don’t have to follow those silly diets in the back of the magazines to be healthy. I’d tell 18 year old me to stop spending hours a day on cardio machines. And 21 year old me that there’s far more to life than eating cold chicken and broccoli out of a plastic tub just to get your body fat percentage down low enough to visibly see abs. I’d tell younger me that no one cares if your thighs jiggle or rub, so just wear the shorts! You don’t have to go swimming in a t shirt and you most certainly DO need to eat more than 1000 calories a day and ENJOY BREAD AND PASTA. My fitness journey has been incredible, yes I’ve seen gains in strength and fitness but the thing I am most proud of is how I talk to my body, treat it and trust it. That journey and relationship has been the hardest of all but also the one that’s been the most important. Please do not let a minute more of your life pass holding back because you do not feel comfortable in your body. Rather than starting yet another diet or kickstarting another unrealistic workout program, start with self acceptance, self care and consider your mental wellbeing as well. #postpartum#postpartumfitness#postpartumworkout#bodyafterbaby#postpartumjourney#mumoftwo#mumof2#fitmum#fitmom#homeworkout#workoutinspiration#mumofboys#workoutinspo#yoga#yogaworkout#cornwall#seaforts#honestmotherhood#realmotherhood#fourthtrimester#4thtrimester#realbodies#allbodiesaregoodbodies#bodyneutrality#bodyneutral#bodyacceptance
