Have you heard any of these lies during your wedding journey? LIE✖️You need big lashes TRUTH✔️ You need lashes that suit your eye shape, whether that’s a few individual lashes or strip lashes, or a combo of both! LIE✖️You need a high bun for your duppatta to stay in place TRUTH✔️A higher bun does not hold up your duppatta. I’ve set duppattas securely in place for brides who had low, simple buns with no padding whatsoever and it’s still lasted throughout the whole wedding ceremony. LIE✖️The accessories don’t matter, it’s all about the outfit. TRUTH✔️ The accessories are what make your outfit, hair & make-up come together. This is not to say you need to always spend a lot on jewellery, but styling your outfit with the right accessories will definitely make or break the look. Don’t neglect the fact that a good quality jewellery set can elevate your look. LIE✖️You need lots of highlighter for glowing skin TRUTH✔️Glowing skin is a combination of skincare and correct make-up application. Some of my brides you see have glowing skin but ZERO highlighter. LIE✖️Using thicker / heavier foundation will make the make-up stay on longer. TRUTH✔️Coverage and longevity do not go hand in hand. When I use my specialist airbrush make-up the amount of foundation is minimal, yet any one of my brides will tell you how long it lasts. Through heatwaves, long days and even tears.
