I’m excited to share a special project I’ve been working on which touches on the power of tapping into our creativity. I didn’t grow up in a creative household or with parents who encouraged my creativity. Instead, I felt an expectation to perform academically and to follow conventional notions of career and success. Leaving the corporate world in my early 20s and starting Eberjey put me on a different path, one of creative and emotional self discovery. I started listening to the deepest parts of me, honoring that I knew the way. Even though I didn’t have a design degree and had zero experience in the fashion industry, my passion for creating products that I wanted and that I knew were missing from the market overrode all the fear and self doubt. My hope is to share with others, especially young girls, the transformative power of tuning in and connecting to our creative energy. I’ll be hosting creativity workshops where I will share how to bring forth our innate creative genius. I will be mentoring young creatives, helping them bring their dream projects to life. And I will be launching my first book, a children’s book about unleashing the creative within. This is brand new territory for me but I’m excited to go back to beginner’s mindset, back to my 23 yr old self, eager to flow with it and just make it happen.
