I love so many things about Thanksgiving. Like setting the table with my grandmother’s silver and my husband’s grandmother’s crystal—it’s fun imagining all the meals these pieces have been part of before ours. I love the nostalgic taste of my mom’s gravy and noodle pudding. I even love the chaos, those nutty minutes right before the food finally hits the table. This year was our first Thanksgiving without my father and my father-in-law, and we felt their absence all day long. 💔 But there was fun too. Time with my sister, a hurried run to the market, laughing in the kitchen. And as always, it felt too short. The food was delicious, our family was together, and suddenly the day was over.
